Bowe to race sportscar greats at Goodwood - Speedcafe

Touring car legend John Bowe is set to do battle against a collection of sportscar racing’s biggest names when he makes his debut at the Goodwood Revival later this month. Following this weekend’s Holden Torana outing at Sydney Motorsport Park’s Muscle Car Masters, Bowe will head to England to pilot a Joe Calleja owned 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, raced by Peter Brock in the 2005 and 2006 Goodwood Revival... The famous Goodwood Revival event, held from September 11-13, will see the 1995 Australian Touring Car champion feature among a star studded field in the RAC TT Celebration race for 1960s sportscars. Bowe is set to line up against Le Mans 24 Hours winners Tom Kristensen (1963 Lister Jaguar Coupe) and Derek Bell/Emanuele Pirro (1964 Ferrari 250LM), two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Arie Luyendyk (1964 AC Cobra) and current Aston Martin works... “I’ve raced against plenty of very good drivers through the years including world champions, but this to me is about enjoyment. The Tasmanian will be joined at the event by two-time World Superbike champion Troy Corser and Adelaide’s Glen Richards, a former British Supersport champion.
