LICAN #1 Controller Backlighting Tester
Made of rugged Aluminum case, lightweight and portable
Lifetime warranty !
In every modern cars today, all communications between electronics are done trough a digital bus.
For example ECU communicate with ABS trough CAN BUS. Radio communicate with cluster trough CAN and LIN bus ... etc
Testing/repairing any of this device on the bench needs a CAN or LIN bus communications, that means a device to receive and transmit CAN or LIN frames data.
LICAN #1 out of the box support Backlight Testing and needle actuator test of the following clusters (see connection schematics picture) :
2007 - 2009 Chrysler Sebring Cluster
2006 - 2009 Dodge Caliber Cluster
2007 - 2011 Dodge Avenger Cluster
* Upon re-programing it can be used as Universal Tester on other models clusters as well *
Many types of testing can be performed with LICAN#1 for any kind of devices (clusters, radios, TIPM ... etc) that use CAN and/or LIN protocol !
LICAN#1 is such device that can receive / record CAN & LIN bus data. It can later transmit "play" this data on the bench so a CAN bus can be emulated on the workbench !
LICAN#1 is very complex device, fully programmable and can emulate CAN & LIN buses simultaneously. It is also very easy to use. It can be used in two main configuration, that is:
1. Connected to a PC
In this mode LICAN#1 will receive and transmit CAN / LIN data to and from the PC and CAN BUS or LIN BUS, allowing you to sniff / record and playback data from PC to CAN bus.
A large files up to 200MB can be used. Also CAN and LIN protocol can be observed , decoded and custom tests procedure can be created just as needed to repair/test any device that use CAN...
