Freightliner, Dodge Sprinter Vans Join Takata Recall - Truckinginfo
Daimler Vans USA is recalling 40,061 2007-2008 model-year Freightliner Sprinter 2500 and 3500 vans, as well as Dodge Sprinter 2500 and 3500 vans, as part of the expanded Takata air bag inflator recall. If a crash triggers air bag deployment in one of these vans, the air bag inflator might explode and disperse metal fragments that can injure van occupants. Daimler Vans USA will notify the Freightliner van owners, and FCA US (Fiat Chrysler) will notify the Dodge van owners. Freightliner van owners can reach DVUSA customer service at (877) 762-8267.
