Rob Dyrdek Is a Man of His Word - Sells Ferrari F12berlinetta, Buys New 488 - autoevolution

Rob Dyrdek may have started off as a skater, hitting those tracks with the boys, but if he got where he is now, it’s through hard work and commitment. he announced he’ll sell the black Ferrari F12berlinetta only to buy the newer 488 and that’s precisely what he’s doing. While the older model is a front-midengine, rear-wheel-drive grand tourer, the 488 has its heart placed where it should be, which is in the middle. It also is the newest model engineers at Maranello have designed, which puts Dyrdek in fashion, so to speak. The Ferrari 488 may be the replacement of the 458, but there’s not much they share besides the roof panel. We’re talking about a total output of 670 horsepower at 8000 rpm and 561 lb-ft (760 Nm) of torque at 3000 rpm. We are also quite fond of the central “Aero Pillar” that deflects air under the flat body of the car while two vents in the bonnet provide an exit for air from the dual intakes of the front bumper. This technology further reduces air pressure over the front of the vehicle thus turning this beauty in a hell of a ride. Rob Dyrdek also owns a BMW M6 Grand Coupe he recently refreshed at a custom shop, just in case he gets bored of the Ferrari. Source: www.autoevolution.com
