The pilot program will run for a year for new and used cars and could potentially expand to more of the company’s dealerships. The report analyzed Farmers Insurance claims from 2013 and 2014 and found that 38 percent of auto insurance claims in California in July, August and September involved vandalism or partial theft. California saw the most theft and vandalism-related claims of any state during that time period.
