Used Car Connoisseur: 2010 Ford Transit Connect XLT - Driving

The arrival of the Ford Transit Connect opened up a whole new segment when it was launched as a 2010 model in Canada. For those with a need to transport tools and/or supplies, but did not need the bulk of a full-sized van, it held enormous appeal. Stylistically, the Transit Connect was about as aerodynamic as a house brick, but this did not lead to any appreciable wind noise. The 2010 Transit Connect, tested at the time, was pretty quiet aside from a few trim squeaks (a symptom of the Transit’s commercial roots). Check out this 2010 Ford Transit Connect XLT listed on Kijiji. The rest of the interior, as with the squeaks, did betray the Connect’s industrial heart, but that was not to say it was tasteless or tacky. Versatility was where the Transit Connect came into its own. The sliding rear doors gave easy access to the cargo area and/or the wagon’s 60/40-split/folding-rear seat — it held three adults with surprising ease. Folding the rear seat down and tumbling it up against the back of the front seats opened up 3,361 L (minus the rear seat, the cargo van boasted 3,831 L). There was. Source: driving.ca
