Race is on for local groups to win a minibus worth £30k - Gloucestershire Echo

The race is on for schools, youth groups and sports organisations across the county to win a minibus worth £30,000. Almost 100 groups have been entered into the competition, run by the Echo and Citizen and sponsored by the Pied Piper Appeal and... The more tokens collected for each group, the more chance they have of winning. For example, if a group collects 25,000 tokens, they will have 250 entries in the draw. "For us it's a way to help groups in the community as well as disabled schools so it's a win all round. And Paul Kemple, chairman of Cheltenham Roundtable, said: "It's good to see so many local charities, schools and clubs enter this competition. Last year, Tewkesbury Baptist Church Youth Group won the competition and were given a 15-seat Ford Transit van. The group said Tewkesbury's Alderman Knight School could use the bus when they were not using it and other community groups could also borrow it if it was available. This year's entries include primary schools across Gloucestershire, air cadets, sea cadets, Gloucestershire Deaf Association, and Winston's Wish. Source: www.gloucestershireecho.co.uk
