1999 Ford Taurus SHO - LimaOhio.com

When Ford introduced the Taurus in 1985 as a 1986 model, it won over lots of new fans. By 2007, Ford had sold more than 6. 7 million Tauruses worldwide, making it the fifth bestselling North American nameplate in Ford’s history, only the F-150, Escort Model T and Mustang have sold more units. The SHO (Super High Output) is the high-performance variant of the Ford Taurus. It was produced from 1989 until 1999, and then returned once more in 2010. The SHO was built by the same team that produced the Ford Mustang SVT Cobra. It was created as a limited production model for 1989, but proved so popular, that Ford ordered more engines and began a series production. Willie Orpurt, of Lima, brought his 1999 Ford Taurus SHO to The Lima News’ Real Wheels Cruise-In. Source: limaohio.com
