Danielson man killed after hitting dump truck in Brooklyn - FOX CT
BROOKLYN – A Danielson man died when his 1995 Ford Probe crossed the center line and hit a dump truck on Route 6 in Brooklyn Saturday morning. The Willimantic Waste Paper Company dump truck was heading west of Laurel Hill Road when it was struck on the driver’s side. The dump truck, driven by Johnnie Lefevre, 39, of Sterling, went into the eastbound lane and came to an uncontrolled rest off the road south of the eastbound lane, according to State Police. The road was closed in the area of 254 Hartford Road. Not far west of that scene, State Police responded to a motorcycle crash on Hartford Road at Appel Street. Richard Phillips, 37, of Hartford Road in Brooklyn, was traveling eastbound on Route 6 when he dumped his bike and skidded into a telephone pole. Source: foxct.com
