Motorcyclist killed in crash - Journal and Courier

Twenty-year-old Roger Spencer III of Logansport died Monday after he rode his motorcycle into the path of a blue Ford pickup truck about 2 p. m. at the intersection of Tippecanoe County Roads 500 North and 50 West. Spencer was wearing a helmet, Tippecanoe County sheriff's Deputy Rob Reppert said. Spencer was riding eastbound on County Road 500 North and rode into the path of a northbound pickup truck on County Road 50 West, which also is Salisbury Street, Rob Reppert said. Spencer and his bike then hit a red GMC Terrain, which was westbound on County Road 500 North and stopped at the east side of the intersection waiting for traffic to clear. Gretchen Newlin, 40, of West Lafayette, was driving the GMC SUV, according to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office. Source: www.jconline.com
