Woman dies after 2-vehicle crash in Union Co. - KFVS
An Anna, Illinois woman died after a crash on U. S. 51 on Tuesday, July 21 at around 1:38 p. m. According to Illinois State Police, Kevin Purcell, 60, of Cobden, Ill. They say he did not yield the right of way to a tan, 1998 GMC Jimmy, which was going north on U. S. 51. The car hit the rear of the Jimmy, causing it to lose control and overturn. Police say the the driver of the Jimmy, 21-year-old Lauren Holshouser, of Anna, was partially ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. Purcell was charged with failure to yield right of way. Visitation for Holshouser will be Saturday, July 25 from 11 a. m. to 3 p. m. at Harvest Church on East Davie Street in Anna, Ill. Source: www.kfvs12.com
