Aimee Copeland has custom van, wheelchair stolen - Gwinnettdailypost.com

Aimee Copeland, the Snellville native who underwent several amputations in a 2012 bout with flesh-eating bacteria, had her customized van stolen late Sunday only to have it turn up apparently still in good condition hours later. “As usual I’m overwhelmed by the support I’ve received and the power of prayer,” she said Monday after media reports spread news of the theft. The van was stolen from the Old Fourth Ward area of Atlanta and located Monday afternoon elsewhere in the city, parked and locked. “Whoever it was took good care to lock it up so nobody would take anything,” Copeland’s father, Andy, said with a puzzled laugh Monday afternoon. The van is a Honda Odyssey donated by Steve Rayman Chevrolet of Atlanta and is retrofitted with technology to allow Copeland to drive herself. Source: www.gwinnettdailypost.com
