A large gray and white pet bunny was found hiding under a bush on the 600 block of South Brainard Avenue at 4:01 p. m. Aug. Police were unable to catch the animal initially, but it was later reunited with its owner on the 600 block of South Stone Avenue. A stray injured kitten hiding under a car was reported at 6:17 p. m. Aug. 12 from the back of a 2007 Honda Element parked on the 4700 block of South Willow Springs Road. A 53-year-old La Grange woman was asked to leave the BEDS facility at 203 S. Kensington Ave. Police responded, and the woman agreed to leave. An aggressive solicitor calling a La Grange resident a racist was reported at 4:20 p. m. Aug. 10 on the 600 block of 9th Avenue. The solicitor, a 25-year-old man from Kansas City, Mo. , was advised of the ordinance requiring solicitors to register with the village, and he agree to leave with 12 other members of his crew, police.
