Man charged in deadly Gaston Co. crash dies at hospital - WBTV

A man involved in a deadly car crash in Gaston County has died just one day after been charged in the crash. Thomas was driving her 1993 Honda Civic with 61-year-old Sherman Thomas and an 11-month-old baby inside when she collided with 83-year-old Julius Dalpiaz. The Honda left 28. 5 feet of skid marks before colliding with Dalpiaz's vehicle. Sherman Thomas, who suffered facial injuries, and the 11-month-old were both taken to the hospital. Dalpiaz, who was also taken to the hospital with severe injuries, was charged Wednesday with misdemeanor death by vehicle. One person has been killed and at least one other person is being treated at the hospital in what police are calling a domestic situation in Salisbury. Police responded to a call for help at the house on the corner of Rachel Lane and Gaskey Road near Airport Road in Salisbury late on Wednesday afternoon.
