Oreland man gets state prison for fatal Upper Dublin car crash - Montgomery Newspapers

NORRISTOWN >> An Oreland man who caused a fatal car crash on Memorial Day in 2014 by driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol was sentenced to state prison on Thursday. Jacob McClinton, 25, of the 1200 block of Saint Clair Road, was sentenced to two to four years in state prison on Thursday. McClinton was also ordered to serve four years of probation which will run consecutively to the completion of his parole period. He was also sentenced to an additional 30 days of parole for an unrelated possession of marijuana charge which he pleaded guilty to in May. In May of this year, McClinton pleaded guilty to charges of homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary offense of speeding. On May 26, 2014 at 4:29 p. m. Upper Dublin police responded to the area of East Pennsylvania Avenue and Twining Road in the township for a report of a two-car crash. When police arrived they found McClinton lying on the ground next to his 2000 Honda Civic. The arresting affidavit states McClinton was driving west on Pennsylvania Avenue and McNichol was driving her 2004 Toyota Corolla south on Twining Road.
