Akron man robs four stores in 11 hours, police say - cleveland.com

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio — An Akron man is accused of committing four armed robberies in the span of 11 hours. The robberies happened between 9 p. m. Saturday and 7:45 a. m. Sunday in Springfield Township, Akron and Fairlawn. Saturday robbery at a Speedway gas station in the 3000 block of South Arlington Road in Springfield Township robbery was the first incident. Five hours later, Foerg walked up behind a 22-year-old South Euclid man standing in line at the late-night service window at Circle K in the 1600 block of West Market Street in Akron. The South Euclid man then handed over keys to his 2004 Honda Civic and Foerg drove to a Fairlawn Walmart. He approached a cashier about 2:45 a. m. and stole cash and drove away in the Civic, police said. Foerg jumped over the counter and grabbed the cash register which contained $120. He took the register and ran from the store. Akron police spotted the stolen car about 10 a. m. in the 200 block of Merriman Road. Akron police reported finding the keys to the stolen Civic in Foerg's pocket. Source: www.cleveland.com
