Man admits he caused dog deaths leads Aug. 7, 2015 Police Blotter - The Trentonian

Man Admits He Caused Dog Deaths: A 24-year-old Sicklerville man Wednesday pleaded guilty to causing the deaths of two 3-month-old puppies by leaving them in inhumane conditions last month on the Fourth of July. Kevin Conquest left a husky named Zero and a golden retriever named Simba in his parked and unattended vehicle while he went to his Mount Laurel workplace to work on Independence Day. Conquest returned to his vehicle later that day and called 911 when he realized the puppies that he had left in a cage inside his vehicle were in critical need of help. When a Burlington County Humane Police officer arrived, the officer found Zero and Simba dead, their carcasses lying on the ground near Conquest’s vehicle. Conquest admitted he left animals in an unattended vehicle under inhumane conditions and caused the deaths of living creatures. Lange slapped Conquest with fines totaling $4,000, ordered Conquest to serve 40 hours of community service at the Camden County Animal Shelter and banned Conquest from owning any animal for the next five years. Alleged Drug Deal Intercepted: Police arrested three men after breaking up an alleged drug transaction Thursday evening at the corner of Southard and Ogden streets. Suessegger and Picard were charged with possession of heroin, possession of a syringe and loitering for drugs. Source: www.trentonian.com
