One dead, 2 injured in Highway 50 crash near Penrose - Colorado Springs Gazette

A 34-year-old Penrose woman was killed Tuesday when her car slammed into a pickup truck near Penrose. According to the Colorado State Patrol, a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon was traveling north on M Street near the intersection of U. S. 50 outside the town. When the car proceeded from the stop sign, it was hit by a Dodge Ram pickuptruck traveling east on U. S. 50. The car spun across the highway but did not roll over. The driver of the truck, Gary Patterson, 57, of Westcliffe, was not injuried. His two passengers, 77-year-old Mary Patterson and 78-year-old James Patterson, also from Westcliffe, were taken to Parkview West Hospital in Pueblo for minor injuries. Source: gazette.com
