Head-on crash shuts down Dehesa Road near Sycuan Casino - CBS 8 San Diego

DEHESA (CNS) - A head-on collision near Dehesa early Wednesday left a passenger with major injuries, a driver less severely injured and the 20-year-old man who allegedly caused the crash facing felony charges. Bashman Azatt Abdulahad of El Cajon allegedly lost control of his 2014 Nissan Altima, which veered into oncoming traffic on a curve in eastbound Dehesa Road about 5 miles east of the Sycuan Casino around 3:45 a. m. , according to California... The Civic's 22-year-old male passenger was severely injured and was airlifted to a hospital, Pearlstein said. The car's 43-year-old driver, a Lakeside man, was taken via ambulance to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, he said. He allegedly attempted to run off after the crash but was located a short time later by a Sycuan police officer and arrested on suspicion of the license violation and felony hit-and-run. City man charged with stealing car in March - Thehour.com

Isaiah Willoughby, 28, of 22 Nash Place, was charged with second-degree larceny, evading responsibility and conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny. According to a police report, a woman reported that her 2007 Nissan Altima had been stolen from her Donna Drive home on March 9. Police spoke with the victim, who said her car had been stolen sometime that evening between 7:30 and 10:30 p. m. and... After taking a report, police spoke with the victim again on March 15 who said her E-Z Pass had shown activity in New York and New Jersey after it was stolen. Police say the damaged vehicle was towed to police headquarters and the owner identified several items inside that did not belong to her, including a hooded sweatshirt, a brush, pair of boots, a fleece jacket, winter coat and a car charger. Police dusted the items for prints and sent the information to the state crime lab. During the time in which the car had been missing, the victim said approximately 2,000 miles had been put on it and the E-Z Pass had been triggered as far away as Maryland. On June 5, police received information from the state crime lab that a fingerprint report revealed a match to Willoughby, a suspect in the incident. Source: www.thehour.com
