La dernière en date a été décernée à la nouvelle Mazda2 lors de la cérémonie des Red Dot Award : Product Design 2015 qui s'est tenu juin dernier. Ainsi, Mazda 2 a été saluée pour la beauté de son design extérieur inspiré du langage stylistique "KODO - L'Ame du Mouvement". Les lignes et les formes du style KODO témoignent de la nature dynamique et athlétique qui se dégage des véhicules Mazda. «Cette reconnaissance de la part du Red Dot témoigne de l'adaptabilité du style KODO et de la liberté artistique qu'elle nous confère, explique Kevin Rice, directeur du design européen de Mazda. L'une des façons de contrôler l'énergie visuelle est de la « comprimer» et de la «libérer» à mesure qu'elle se déplace le long du véhicule. L’Institut Japonais de la Promotion du Design, ayant organisé la cérémonie a salué principalement le dynamisme du nouveau modèle et son design KODO – l’Ame du Mouvement. Gewiss, das Peugeot 205 Cabriolet war nicht die Nummer eins. Aber schon als zweiter kompakter offener Viersitzer mit Karosserieverstärkung durch Sicherheitsbügel folgte der unmittelbare Vorläufer des Peugeot 205, der ebenfalls vom italienischen Cabriospezialisten Pininfarina konzipierte Talbot Samba. Als sich Peugeot zur Beerdigung der verlustbringenden Tochter Talbot entschloss, war es dann soweit: Passgenau zum 50. Jubiläum der Turiner Carrozzeria präsentierte Pininfarina 1985 nicht nur ein Peugeot Concept Coupé, sondern auch den bis heute... Ein kleiner Sonnenkönig in Haute Couture, nach dem die Cabrio-Käufer ab dem Folgejahr Schlange standen. Und das sogar in für Frischluftfans freudlosen Dekaden wie den 1970er Jahren als das traditionelle Cabrio zum Aussterben verurteilt schien. Hatte doch Pininfarina mit dem Peugeot 504 Cabrio bereits 1969 eine zeitlose Ikone kreiert, die erst 14 Jahre später zum Produktionsanlauf des Peugeot 205 Platz machen musste in den beengten Turiner Werkshallen. This one didn't quite make it to 175,000 miles, which is pretty good for a 1980s Toyota but certainly not worth writing home about. It wasn't rust and the body and interior are still pretty decent, so the most likely culprits come down to some expensive mechanical problem (e. g. , head gasket) or a lot of parking tickets followed by a visit from the mean ol' tow-truck man.
