Injuries reported in 2 Osage County accidents - Examiner Enterprise

The first accident occurred at 6:09 p. m. Friday at County Road 2230, about 3/10 of a mile west of Alice Driver near Avant. A 1989 Jeep pickup, driven by 28-year-old William Jenkins, of Skiatook, was reportedly westbound on County Road 2230, when Jenkins “became distracted by something inside (the) vehicle” and went left of center, striking a 1991 Honda head-on. Jenkins was pinned for one hour while Zalotsky was pinned for approximately 30 minutes, the OHP said. Jenkins was then transported by Country Corner EMS to Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, where he was admitted in serious condition with head, arm, leg and trunk external injuries, the report said. Zalotsky was reportedly transported via lifeflight to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, where he was admitted in critical condition with head, arm, leg, trunk injuries. A second accident happened around 1:02 p. m. Sunday on State Highway 18, 2/10 of a mile south of County Road 4250, which is 2. 1 miles south of Shidler. At that time, a 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle, driven by 54-year-old Scott Hampton of Ponca City, was northbound on Highway 18 and attempting to negotiate a curve when it departed the roadway to the right, striking a ditch and then a telephone... Hampton was later airlifted to St John Medical Center in Tulsa, where he was admitted in stable condition with head, leg and trunk internal injuries. Source: examiner-enterprise.com
