Global Vehicles Responds to New Comments from Mahindra About Pickup Timing - PickupTrucks.com

The battle over when Mahindra pickups will go on sale in the U. S. bubbled over Thursday, with Mahindra execs saying a lawsuit against them might delay the trucks’ already late arrival, while the U. S. distributor declared that nonsense. Pawan Goenka, the president of Mahindra's automotive business, told reporters in India that the introduction of its truck in the U. S. could be pushed back yet again because of Global Vehicles USA's pending lawsuit against Mahindra. "We are going as per (our) original plan for the launch of the pickup truck in the U. S. [by December 2010], but can't say on the actual time of launch, as it will depend on the outcome of the litigation," Goenka said. GV USA, the Atlanta-based company that holds the rights to sell Mahindra’s compact diesel pickups in the U. S. , responds that if Mahindra can stick to its delivery and distribution comments, there shouldn't be any delays at all, for either... According to documents filed in federal court, GV USA alleges that while GV USA has signed up more than 350 dealers and spent almost $35 million preparing for the launch, Mahindra has dragged its feet getting final safety and emissions... “Indeed, in the litigation Global Vehicles seeks to compel Mahindra to honor its contractual obligations. “Global Vehicles and its dealers stand ready, willing and able to immediately begin selling Mahindra vehicles in the United States. Quando apareceram as primeiras de sete velocidades começou a falar-se, à distância de um futuro longínquo, das de oito relações. Pouco tempo volvido, eis que a Range Rover monta já uma das primeiras caixas automáticas de nove velocidades. A nova transmissão substitui a caixa de seis velocidades e tem bastante mais trabalho, uma vez que está constantemente à procura da faixa mais eficiente de funcionamento do motor 2. 2 diesel, neste caso com 190 CV, que não sofre alterações. As passagens são rápidas e como existem grandes variações de rotação, tem uma utilização muito suave, por vezes, impercetível. É interessante verificar que a 140 km/h circulamos abaixo das 2000 rpm, num passo de gigante para reduzir os consumos em velocidade estabilizada, uma vez que o motor está a trabalhar dentro do seu regime ótimo. Isso faz, por exemplo, com que o consumo baixe, em utilização normal, 2 litros a cada 100 km (8,5 contra 10,5 l/100 km com caixa automática de seis velocidades). Quando circulamos em nona velocidade e precisamos de fazer uma ultrapassagem mais rápida é importante ter já alguma habituação para antecipar a reação, uma vez que há indecisão da caixa em relação à melhor relação a usar. O melhor nesses casos é usar as patilhas atrás do volante, mesmo que estas respondam de forma mais rápida quando a caixa está em modo Sport. São várias as novas tecnologias do Evoque MY2014, entre elas a Transmissão Ativa, sistema de transmissão integral que ativa a tração dianteira a velocidade constante acima de 35 km/h.
