Ford hopes the new truck offering will persuade buyers who may be looking at buying both a high-end sedan and a lower-priced truck to skip the second car and just buy a pickup that has the attributes of both. The Limited comes standard with many things you'll see in the lower-priced trucks, but one of the features which will make towing a lot easier is what's called "back-up assist. The inside of the truck looks more luxurious with Mojave leather seats, eucalyptus wood paneling and aluminum accents. Peterson said, "It's got the unique interior treatments, the unique seats and everything in it. So, if you're buying a Limited, you're basically checking all the boxes. Ford may be hitting the sweet spot for truck buyers. According to TrueCar, the average price U. Ford is not commenting on a media report that the automaker is considering building the Ranger compact pickup at the Michigan Assembly Plant later this decade. The automaker has been criticized for its decision to move production of the Focus compact car, Focus electric car and C-Max hybrid and C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid out of Michigan Assembly in 2018. Many have speculated the work will move to Mexico... "We will move production of the next-generation Ford Focus and C-Max, which currently are built at Michigan Assembly Plant, beginning in 2018. We actively are pursuing future vehicle alternatives to produce at Michigan Assembly and will discuss... The expectation is Ford will choose to make larger or more expensive vehicles in Michigan with a higher profit margin while shifting production of lower-margin small cars further south where labor costs are lower.
