The car received spectacular ratings on all counts. It’s not the first Tesla car to take ratings by storm. Recently, the first Tesla Model S received a 99/100, detroning the BMW M235i, the previous leader with 98/100. This happened back in 2013, and since then, no car was rated better than the Model S… until the Model S P85D came along. “That this electric car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3. 5 seconds without an engine’s roar makes it frighteningly eerie in its silent velocity. The biggest downside is the price: the S P85D comes in at US$127,820, and the inside isn’t as opulent as it is for similarly priced cars. Also, you’re going to have to charge it every 320 km (200 miles) or so, which means that it’s not really suitable for long drives without charging stations. But the fact that the two best rated cars are both electric, and both come from Tesla is a serious indication that electric cars are coming, and they’re here to stay. No wonder 98% of Tesla car owners say they’d buy a Tesla again. Iceland woos power-hungry data centres - ITWeb

Its massive energy generating capacity thanks to hydro and geothermal power cannot be exported due to the island's remoteness, so it produces five times more electricity than its 320 000-strong population needs and all of it is renewable. It hopes its cool climate and cheap reliable power can entice data centre operators, offering them dramatically lower costs and a recently passed tax incentive. Although the country has not yet attracted big Silicon Valley names, smaller data operations have already arrived. It has five data centres, including one at a dismantled NATO base operated by Verne Global, whose top publicly named client is carmaker BMW, and the government is campaigning to attract more. "When BMW said they paid 83% less for operating their data centre on Iceland than in Germany, it [interest] really picked up," said Einar Hansen Tomasson, who works to woo data clients through a government-backed programme, Invest in Iceland. While the engine makes 240 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque in the 328i, the 320i is rated at 180 horsepower at 5000 rpm, and produces 200 lb-ft of torque from 1250 rpm. Rear-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is an additional $2000. Judging from our experience in Europe, the lower-grade N20 is a pleasant if somewhat unremarkable engine. By contrast, BMW estimates the 320i will take 7. 1 seconds to reach 60 mph, regardless of transmission type, and is governed at 130 mph, or a yet-undisclosed velocity when equipped with performance tires. Estimated fuel economy for the manual is 22 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. With the automatic, fuel economy is estimated at 23/33. Aiding the fight to increase mileage is a standard stop-start function and an Eco Pro setting—which can be selected in addition to the Comfort and Sport settings. 17-inch aluminum wheels are standard, with 18-inch rims part of the optional Sport package.
