Betts, whose automobile industry background also includes Nissan and Toyota, left his Chrysler job last October, the day after a Consumer Reports study showing the reliability of the Chrysler brand had declined. Reuters reported that Apple’s lineup of car-automated experts includes Megan McClain, an ex-Volkswagen engineer, Vinay Palakkode, a former Carnegie Mellon University graduate researcher possibly working on automated driving research, and Xianqiao... Earlier hires include Sanjai Massey, a former Ford engineer, Stefan Weber, an ex-Bosch engineer and Lech Szumilas, a former Delphi research scientist, the report said. Apple’s electric car project reportedly is code-named Project Titan and is headed by Steve Zadesky, a 16-year Apple veteran who joined the company in 1999 to work on the iPod and later the iPhone. Zadesky, whose background includes a three-year stint as a Ford engineer, has the go-ahead to hire a 1,000 person team to work on the electric car, including recruiting Apple employees from other parts of the company, according to reports. I think there is always a need from a leadership standpoint and chemistry standpoint to be out there so I hate the fact I can’t be out there. In fact, Jason outperformed his twin brother Devon with the world champion New England Patriots who had 68 combined tackles two forced fumbles and two interceptions. Jason’s team went 2-14 and Devon has a new Super Bowl ring. Of course, both went to Rutgers and Devon was taken in the first round by the Pats in 2010. Jason’s career with the Titans has included 421 tackles and 11 interceptions. We didn’t see Jason in the preseason opener against the Falcons on Thursday night, and his presence was missed in the first quarter when first string quarterback Matt Ryan and Roddy White marched the ball down the field and logged the game’s first... It’s unlikely that we will see McCourty on the field Sunday night at Nissan Stadium when the Titans welcome former head coach Jeff Fisher back to Nashville. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt isn’t worried about his first-team cornerback being ready to play at a top level when he returns, and as usual, looks at McCourty’s injury as an opportunity for other players in the secondary to get more snaps. “I don’t worry about it from the standpoint of playing,’’ Whisenhunt said of McCourty.   When it was new, reviewers said the 2009 Nissan Titan is a decent performer, with a controlled ride, communicative steering and a powerful engine. Although it lacks the number of engine choices that other 2009 full-size pickups have, critics said the lone V8 engine provides plenty of power. Two- and four-wheel drive were both offered when it was new. The Titan achieves 13/17 mpg city/highway, which is a bit low compared to some key rivals. The Titan can tow up to 9,500 pounds, which is similar to the Dodge Ram 1500’s capacity, but less than some of the stronger entries in the class.

  Reviewers agreed that the Titan’s aging design was most noticeable inside the cabin. They said that the materials look and feel cheap, especially compared with most of its rivals that were more recently redesigned. Unlike most full-size pickups, the 2009 Titan was not offered in a three-seat regular cab configuration, but only extended and crew cabs, with seating for up to six. Most reviewers said that the front seats have adequate comfort and support, and most agree that the back seat is comfortable as well. The base trim has few notable standard features. Upper trims and option packages made available features like power windows, locks and mirrors, front bucket seats, leather seats, an eight-speaker Rockford Fosgate stereo with satellite radio, Bluetooth, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power moonroof, navigation and a rear-seat entertainment system.
