An initial investigation indicates Brett Bergeron was traveling southbound on La. 411 in a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado about 7 p. m. when his pickup truck, for unknown reasons, crossed the center line and struck a northbound Acadian Ambulance being... Bergeron suffered fatal injuries from the crash, despite being properly restrained. Woods and his passenger, an Acadian Ambulance employee, were both also properly restrained and received only minor injuries, police said.
