2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 High Country 4WD - NewsOK.com

This was a workhorse, a new 2015 Chevy Silverado heavy-duty with almost everything added on to it. Specifically, it was the High Country edition, four-wheel-drive, 2500 model, crew cab, with a Duramax Plus package. I knew the week ahead would be not only fun to drive around, but a major opportunity to put this heavy-duty Silverado to real-life testing with hay wagons, cows, and horses, as well as a weather predictions ranging all over the place. The 2015 Silverado High Country is a luxury pickup and Chevy has been several years behind the competitors in adding luxury to their trucks. It was 15 years ago when I attended Ford's unveiling and introduction of the special King Ranch edition out at the Dallas TV-series Southfork Ranch. It took the Chevy folks a couple more years, but the High Country (aka: high-end) came out last year on the Silverado 1500. . Now, the public is clamoring for high-end, premium & luxury pickup trucks, especially in the heavy-duty segment. Ford's King Ranch trim and Ram's Longhorn trim are both doing well in the heavy-duty arena. There is no reason to think that this new heavy-duty Chevy will score rodeo points with the High County. It is built to provide heavy-duty strength for heavy-duty jobs, such as towing and hauling, and provide a comfortable ride doing it. The truck sits up high – it is tall – but it is expected to be that way. Source: newsok.com
