2013 Acura TL SH-AWD Advance review notes - AutoWeek

ASSOCIATE EDITOR GRAHAM KOZAK: A few thoughts on this 2013 Acura TL SH-AWD Advance. One of the big selling points of this $46k-plus car has to be the AWD system. I'd never tried it before I took the TL home for the evening. Truth be told, wasn't expecting much, but I had a lot of fun pushing the car through corners at speeds a bit higher than I might have pushed a FWD vehicle and the car pulled right on through without losing any composure. Seats were comfortable but not too cushy, which seemed fitting given the TL's somewhat unexpectedly sport character. Aesthetically the TL is all over the map. The ol' Acura beak, which has been more or less toned down after a few hasty refreshes, was at least polarizing. The combination of buttons on dials on more buttons, all made of dark plastic and finished off with brightly contrasting white print, is an assault on the senses. It's confusing, it's overwhelming, it sort of undermines the tech-savvy edge that Acura could have (at least in my mind) cultivated. ASSOCIATE EDITOR JAKE LINGEMAN: Interesting points from Graham. I dislike the disembodied voice that comes over the stereo to let you know that “voice commands are. Source: autoweek.com
