Co-workers continue to grieve the loss of one of their own after a gruesome killing in Edmonton this week. “We’re devastated, it’s just disgusting,” said Amber Niemeier, director for communications and advocacy for the YWCA in Edmonton. Nadine Skow, a 38-year-old employee of the YWCA in Lethbridge, was found stabbed to death in her suite at 104 Street and 106 Avenue in Edmonton this week. Charges have been laid in two of Edmonton’s 13 homicides so far this year. 21 -- Paul Murray Grandbois, 36, was found lying on the curb at 25 Avenue, between 119 Street and 120 Street. A cause of death has not been released. 9 -- Lena Steinhauer, 24, was found dead in a rooming house at 112 Avenue and 95A Street. No cause of death has been released. 22 -- Deng Matthew Garang Tong, 23, was killed in a stabbing spree at 102 Street and 107 Avenue that left four others injured. March 22 -- Casey Darrel Crier, 29, was found dead in a suite near 81 Avenue and 178 Street. The cause of death has not been released.
