2016 Acura NSX to Officially Debut at Detroit Auto Show - Automobile
The prolonged gestation of the second-generation Acura NSX will finally come to an end when the official production model debuts at this year’s Detroit auto show in January, a full three years after the first NSX concept appeared at the 2012... The new NSX retains the same mid-engine layout as the iconic original car, but under the hood is a wildly different powertrain that employs the latest and greatest version of Honda’s gas-electric hybrid system. Up front, two wheel-mounted electric motors afford through-the-road all-wheel drive, and should boost the 2016 Acura NSX’s total output above 500 hp. From what we can hear from the teaser video (below), the V-6 hybrid powertrain makes a thrilling...
