WSP: SR-500 crash caused by speed, impairment - KOIN.com

(KOIN 6) – Four young adults were rushed to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center late Friday after a high-speed crash, two of them with critical injuries. The single-car crash happened just before 9 p. m. on the ramp to SR-500 from northbound St. Johns Boulevard, Washington State Patrol Trooper Will Finn said. The driver of the 2005 Acura RSX coupe, Tyler Carlson, lost control and struck a concrete barrier. Carlson, 21, was wearing a seat belt, but two of the passengers weren’t, WSP said. Soule, 18, of Ridgefield, was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, troopers say. Soule was wearing a seat belt. Dominicc R. Edwards, 19, of Portland, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, trooper says. Doving, 19, of Vancouver, was also not wearing a seat belt, according to WSP. She was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver as well. Source: koin.com
