While driving down a Los Angeles freeway the other day, a first-generation Acura TSX in immaculate condition zoomed past me, and I realized that its crisp, clean, and contemporary design is now more than a decade old – even though it looks like... This “plenum grille,” to use Acura’s official term, was a bold step for a luxury brand that often shied away from look-at-me frivolities. After that, Acura went off the rails a bit, putting this increasingly awkward-looking snout on vehicles never designed to accept it, like the RDX crossover and RL sedan.
