Acura Will Take the New NSX Racing - RoadandTrack.com (blog)

It feels like the Acura NSX has been "almost here" for ages, but it's been just 3. 5 years since we saw the first concept. The good news is that part of the end of the development cycle involves deciding where the NSX will go racing. Right now, Acura is undecided as to if they should build the car for GTE competition or if it would be better as a GT3 car. The idea would be to have it replace the TLX GT that is currently racing in Pirelli World Challenge, which means it'd be ideal to make the NSX GT3 spec, not whatever spec the TLX is now. For the NSX, that'd mean the removal of the all-wheel drive system, since GT3 cars need to be rear-wheel drive. Source: www.roadandtrack.com
