Tiger Woods didn't seem optimistic about winning another PGA Championship this week , an event he won four times. It was a different Woods talking to the media Tuesday — most expected him to say he needs to win or finish in the top five to get into the FedEx Cup playoffs. Nor did he mention playing in next week's Wyndham, the last event of the PGA Tour's regular season. Mark Brazil, the Wyndham's tournament director, told Sporting News: "We are 100 percent ready should (Woods) decide to play here, but if not we already have a fantastic field that will improve with additional commitments through Friday evening, so... The Wyndham is the sixth-oldest event on the PGA Tour, excluding majors. Woods has never played in the Wyndham. In 2012, Sergio Garcia did not have enough points to play in the FedEx Cup playoffs going into the Wyndham. "I know I am in the 200s (No. 278 in world golf rankings, to be exact), but really don't know where.
