Mother arrested for OWI while son is in car - The Herald

Police report that at 1:02 p. m. this afternoon, Trooper Brock Werne pulled over a maroon 1995 Buick LeSabre at Dorbett and Ninth streets in Jasper for driving across the center line and not having a bumper. During the course of the traffic stop, police say Werne believed the driver, Alicia K. McDaniel, 39, Tennyson, was showing signs of impairment. Through the course of the investigation, police say Werne learned that McDaniel had been smoking methamphetamine earlier in the day. Police say McDaniel had been driving with her 9-year-old son in the vehicle with her. According to police, McDaniel tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana and was transported to the Dubois County Security Center without incident. Source: duboiscountyherald.com
