GM Recalls Cadillac SRX, Chevrolet Spark, Saab 9-4X, Stops Sales Of Chevrolet ... - The Car Connection

GM hasn't issued a timeline for this recall. RECALL #2: 2013-2015 Chevrolet Spark & Chevrolet Spark EV. UNITS AFFECTED: 93,834 (89,294 in the U. S. ). Detroit News reports that this recall stems from a potential build-up of rust on the Spark's hood latch. GM hasn't issued a timeline for this recall either. It appears that the company is waiting for the delivery of properly rust-proof parts, which will be used to replace the faulty latches on recalled vehicles. Until that time, GM won't allow any of the 2015 models included in the recall to be delivered to buyers. STOP-SALE/RECALL #3: 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon. The latest GM recall involves a stop-sale for two pickups. GM says that the airbags on the 2015 Colorado and Canyon were improperly manufactured, and that wiring flaws can disrupt the deployment of the driver's side airbag during collisions. The good news is that only about 50 of the estimated 2,200 vehicles included in the recall have been delivered to customers. Source: www.thecarconnection.com
