Shot driver pleads not guilty in chase charges - Muscatine Journal

WAPELLO, Iowa — The Muscatine man accused of leading deputies on a late-night chase through Louisa County in early June pleaded not guilty to three charges. He allegedly sped away traveling northeast on Stewart Road and then turning west onto Fruitland Road. According to authorities, as deputies approached Spurling's vehicle, he allegedly drove his 1993 Cadillac Seville towards them. Louisa County Deputy Sheriff David Perley shot at Spurling, hitting him in the upper torso. Source: muscatinejournal.com
