GM Recalls 2062 Units Of 2015 Chevy Cruze Over Rollaway Risk - GM Authority (blog)

General Motors is recalling 2,062 units of the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze in North America to address a rollaway risk, and Chevy dealers have been issued a stop-delivery on the affected units until they have been repaired. “As a result, the fastening bolts may back out completely, causing the parking brake bracket to separate and the parking brake to not hold the vehicle in place. GM isn’t aware of any crashes, injuries, or fatalities related to this condition, which was discovered February 9 , 2015. Vehicles affected: some units of the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze. The fix: Chevrolet dealers will inspect affected vehicles and, if necessary, tighten both the left and right rear park brake cable bracket bolts.
