New Chevy Camaro to make public debut at Woodward Dream Cruise - MLive.com

DETROIT, MI - First unveiled only to a closed group of mostly Camaro owners and members of the media, the public can get a first-hand look at the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro this weekend at the Woodward Dream Cruise. The new Camaro, which the world first got a look at last May at Detroit's Belle Isle , will be at Woodward Avenue and Old Woodward Avenue in Birmingham on Saturday, the day of the cruise. That's one thing Chevrolet has planned in its fifth year of sponsoring the Dream Cruise, which is expected to draw more than 1 million car enthusiasts to the some 40,000 vehicles expected to line the Woodward corridor this weekend. The owners of Chevrolet Volts and their friends will meet at the Kingsley Inn in Bloomfield Hills at 6 p. m. and depart to silently cruise Woodward Avenue at 7 p. m. "Design on Woodward" by GM Design. The sixth annual Design on Woodward car show is Wednesday from 1 p. m. to 8 p. m. at the Northwood Plaza at the southwest corner of Woodward and 13 Mile. " At the northeast corner of Woodward and 13 Mile, the Chevrolet Performance display will show off a variety of performance vehicles on Thursday and Friday from 10 a. m. to 9 p. m. and on Saturday from 8 a. m. to 9 p. m. "Camaro Corral. " The Camaro Corral will feature up to 150 Camaros owned by Camaro Club members. Chevy will also have a dedicated display at Woodward and Old Woodward in Birmingham for the day of the Dream Cruise.
