2010 Chevrolet Cobalt Recalled To Fix Wiring Flaw Linked To Airbag Failure - The Car Connection

General Motors has issued a recall for the 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt. According to Detroit News , some of those vehicles may suffer from a wiring flaw that could keep airbags from deploying when they're most needed. The Cobalt's problem is rooted in a wiring harness found in the driver-side front door. When the window is all the way down, the regulator may make contact with the harness and wear through the harness casing over time. Should that happen, it could short out some of the wiring, including an airbag sensor linked to the driver-side roof rail airbag. As with another airbag wiring flaw we've covered today, the good news is that if this is a problem on your car, you'll know because the airbag warning light on your dashboard will be illuminated.
