Woman from Nice killed in head-on Highway 20 crash - Santa Rosa Press Democrat
A 40-year-old Nice resident was killed in a head-on collision in Lake County, CHP officials said. Heading east, the woman was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier on Highway 20 just west of its junction with Highway 53 near Clearlake Oaks at about 6:30 a. m. Tuesday when she drifted into the oncoming lane, according to a CHP report. The driver of a westbound 2001 Kenworth truck and trailer, hauling empty agricultural bins, tried to avoid hitting her car by turning to the left, CHP officials said, but the vehicles collided.
