Restoring a classic car can take years and cost you thousands of dollars, but for car enthusiasts, it's a hobby unlike any other. It takes a lot of elbow grease to get some of these cars ready for the car Super Bowl of the year, Hot August Nights. "Bought it '94, had about 72,000 miles, original paint, original engine, tore it apart, painted it, put it back together," said Harvey Grand of Vancouver, WA. Grand has been coming to Reno every year since 1995 after he fixed up his '64 Chevy Impala. To do a complete car you can have 150-300 man hours you multiply that by $100 an hour and that's a lot. Wheeler has been restoring classic cars for more than 37 years. "It's all about getting your car to Hot August Nights. An important part of restoration is safety and one of the biggest challenges is finding parts to upgrade the fuel system. "We're battling ethanol and a gas and we're seeing more carburetor fires, the ethanol and the gas is killing the cars.
