Three injured when semi collides with SUV in Palmyra - Quincy Herald Whig

PALMYRA, Mo. -- Two Ewing residents and a California truck driver were seriously injured at 3:32 p. m. Wednesday in a SUV-semitrailer crash on U. S. 61 near the Wilco Convenience station at Palmyra. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Stewart was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox west on Thompson Street and attempted to cross the northbound lane of U. S. 61 when he failed to yield to the northbound 2005 Volvo tractor driven by Okhrimenko. The SUV was struck in the left side, spun around and came to rest on its wheels in a northbound lane. The truck ran off the left side of the highway, overturned on its side and struck three road signs. Assisting were the Marion County Sheriff's Department, Palmyra Police Department and the Palmyra Fire Department. Mary Ann Klein knows that civic participation moves communities forward.
