Gallatin man killed in head-on collision - WKRN.com
It happened at Highway 109 and Burton Road around 5 a. m. The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported 64-year-old Robert Murphy, of Gallatin, was killed when his 1997 silver Ford Crown Victoria was struck head on by a 2003 red Dodge Grand Caravan. The Dodge was driven by 24-year-old Thomas Lynch, of Mount Juliet, who was also injured in the accident. Lynch initially rear-ended a third vehicle before crossing the double yellow line and striking Murphy’s vehicle head-on. Lynch was charged with reckless driving, following too close, failure to exercise due care, and failure to wear seat belt. Source: wkrn.com
