Driver charged in fatal wreck - Lebanon Democrat

According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report, Thomas Lynch, 24, of Mt. Juliet, was driving a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan north on Highway 109 when he rear-ended a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Dennis Harris, 62, of Mt. Juliet. Lynch’s van then continued across a double yellow line and collided head-on with a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Robert Murphy, 64, of Gallatin. Both he and Harris were wearing seatbelts. Lynch was injured in the wreck, but it’s unknown to what extent. He was charged with reckless driving, following too closely, failure to exercise due care, failure to obey a traffic control device, failure to take financial responsibility and not wearing a seatbelt.
