Samantha Begoun, age 28 of the 200 block of South Maple, Oak Park, was arrested June 26 for violation of an order of protection, according to Oak Park police. Someone tried to enter a basement apartment June 26 in the 200 block of South Maple using a prying tool to break the glass on the rear kitchen door, according to Oak Park police. The company has now issued recalls for a number of vehicles, including the Armada, Frontier, Pathfinder, Quest, Titan, Xterra, and the Infiniti QX56, citing problems that range from faulty brake pedals to malfunctioning gas gauges. The problem affects Nissan's 2008 - 2010 Armada, Quest, and Titan models, as well as the 2008 - 2010 Infiniti QX56. The issue stems from a faulty brake pedal pin, which can cause the brake pedal to loosen. According to a company statement, "There have been three reported instances of brake pedal pins partially disengaging, causing a loss of normal braking ability, and Nissan has determined that a manufacturing error on the part of the supplier is at... In certain Nissan and Infiniti models, the gauge can indicate that the vehicle has a quarter tank of gas remaining, when in fact the tank is nearly empty. The flawed equipment can be found in the 2005 - 2009 Nissan Armada and Titan, the 2005 - 2009 Infiniti QX56, and some 2006 and 2008 Nissan Frontiers, Pathfinders, and Xterras. Nissan notes that no accidents or injuries have resulted from either flaw, and adds that none of the Nissan or Infiniti models currently in showrooms are affected by these issues.
