Just before introducing their new quarterback, Nick Foles, the Rams brought in another Nick to meet the assemblage of reporters and Rams employees. Fairley came out to applause from Rams employees in a pep rally-type atmosphere, smiled and said "How you all doing. " Then he headed back upstairs at Rams Park to sign what was reported to be a one-year, $5 million deal with incentives that could push the overall value to $8 million. Foles answered a few questions and said the usual things about how happy he was to be a Ram. Foles, who missed the last half of the 2014 season with a collarbone injury, said he was well beyond that injury and ready to go. "I'm thankful for the opportunity to be here, because it really is a blessing to play in the NFL," Foles said. But the most interesting part of the short press conference (10 minutes) was hearing coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Snead fumble around questions about why they traded quarterback Sam Bradford. Would Bradford still be with the Rams had he agreed to the team's proposed pay cut, Fisher was was asked. And it was a sizeable pay cut, well below the $8 million or $9 million that had been speculated by many. In fact, it was believed to be well below half of the $12. 895 million in base salary that Bradford is scheduled to make this season. As for Fairley he figures to be the team's third defensive tackle in what potentially could be a formidable rotation with starters Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers. Source: www.stltoday.com

Looking to upgrade their linebacker corps, the Rams signed New England free-agent linebacker Akeem Ayers to a two-year contract Thursday night. That starting spot was manned by Jo-Lonn Dunbar last season, but the Rams are looking to add depth as well as talent so Dunbar's spot on the roster may not necessarily be in jeopardy. Ayers had six sacks with Tennessee in 2012. In nine games (and four starts) with the Patriots after last year's trade, he recorded four sacks and an interception. All told, Ayers has played in 59 games with 47 starts in his four-year NFL career. There is coaching familiarity with Ayers on the Rams' staff from his time in Tennessee. Rams defensive coordinator Gregg Williams was with Ayers two years ago as the Titans' senior defensive assistant. Through March, commercial deliveries have grown year over year for 17 consecutive months. Commercial deliveries were up 39 percent in March, and full-size pickups were up 41 percent. Chevrolet sales dropped 3. 2 percent to 173,886 units: Colorado sales were up an unwieldy 330 percent to 6,621 units, taking only 7 “days to turn” Corvette sales were up 8. 8 percent to 3,785 units Silverado sales were up 7 percent to 45,193...
