With today’s luxury shoppers moving toward crossovers, SUVs, and even pickup trucks, traditional three-box sedans such as the 2015 Hyundai Genesis and 2015 Chrysler 300 are starting to seem like relics of bygone years. Both Chrysler and Hyundai still offer the old-school combination of rear-wheel drive and V-8 power, but only 20 percent of 300 buyers and 10 percent of Genesis buyers choose the eight-cylinder engine. The Chrysler 300’s familiar look has aged well since the original 300 arrived in 2005, and our car’s sport-oriented S package offered some sharp-looking details including dark-finish wheels, a black roof, and attractive red paint. Holmes praises the car’s refresh for 2015, saying that the 300 hasn’t lost any of its attitude over the years: “I have always liked the way the 300 looked, and this car has a bold presence about it. ” Indeed, its brash style statement makes a... A refreshed version of the Chrysler 300 sedan is coming to this year’s Los Angeles auto show, and fuel economy numbers for this updated model published on the EPA's web site confirm its powertrain changes will mimic those on the refreshed 2015... This transmission upgrade hardly comes as a surprise, as Chrysler has been rolling out this eight-speed across nearly all of its models powered by the same 5. 7-liter Hemi, including the Ram 1500, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the Dodge Durango. The updated car goes on sale in the first quarter of 2015. There’s no word yet on whether the 2015 Chrysler 300 lineup will include an SRT model, as there’s a distinct possibility that the existing 300 SRT8 may be discontinued along with the... It received excellent marks for handling--Chrysler had reportedly benchmarked the BMW 5-Series--although the ride was considerably firmer than the more softly-sprung Concorde and LHS models. Black-on-white instruments gave the interior an elegance unusual in American cars of the day, with a green electroluminescent glow at night, and the analog dash clock was an unusual touch.
